Exfoliation treatments are essential to skin maintenance as they allow for the controlled removal of surface impurities and dead cells. Chemical peels smooth and brighten the skin through the application of various chemical solutions. These solutions work deep into the dermis, allowing for significant improvement to your overall skin health. KAO Aesthetics supplies and performs chemical peels to treat many surface concerns, from fine lines to pigmentation irregularities.

Chemical peels effectively treat dryness, fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, excess oil, hyperpigmentation, acne, aging, and uneven tone and texture.

Glycolic Acid Peel

Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid peel that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, and tonal concerns. This peel works well as a maintenance treatment for the face and body and requires minimal to no downtime. Due to its mild to moderate nature, glycolic acid peels can be chosen for a single session or a series of treatments.
Glycolic acid peels can also be used for specific concerns, such as keratosis.

*Glycolic acid is appropriate for aging, uneven, and acne-prone skin.

Salicylic Acid Peel

Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that smooths the skin. This clinical peel controls acne breakouts, clears clogged pores, and regulates uneven texture by shrinking the pores. Salicylic acid peels help leave your skin feeling clean, clear, supple, and smooth.

*Salicylic acid is appropriate for oily, combination, dry, and acne-prone skin.

Lactic Acid Peel

Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid that is gentler than many other chemical peels, making it an ideal choice for those with sensitive skin. Lactic acid peels work to unclog pores, improve hydration, and rebuild collagen and elastin stores. These health benefits significantly improve fine lines and oily skin.

*Lactic acid is appropriate for all skin types and conditions.

Modified and Enhanced Jessner Peels

Modified and Enhanced Jessner Peels offer various blended formulas to soften the depth of surface lines, regulate hyperpigmentation, reduce acne breakouts, and smooth skin texture.

Our comprehensive approach to Jessner peels allows us to find specific solutions for our patients’ needs. We utilize our Modified and Enhanced Jessner peels to their fullest potential, optimizing their effectiveness to smooth and brighten skin.

*Modified and enhanced Jessner peels are appropriate for all skin types and conditions.

TCA Formulation Peels

TCA (trichloroacetic acid) is a gold standard for chemical peels and has been shown to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, laxity, pore size, and discoloration. TCA formulation peels are appropriate for a wide range of skin types, including darker tones, and contribute to healthier, plumper, and more hydrated skin.

*TCA formulation peels are appropriate for combination, dry, aging, acne-prone, and hyperpigmented skin.

VI Precision Plus®

The VI Precision Plus® peel works to improve texture, build collagen, and correct uneven pigment. This peel has been shown to even out skin tone in patients across the Fitzpatrick scale (numbers I through VI) and is a great combination therapy with microneedling or other resurfacing treatments.

This peel consists of a synergistic blend of TCA, salicylic acid, retinoic acid, vitamin C, phenol, and minerals, and has demonstrated significant benefit in treating fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, acne scarring, and sun damage.

*The VI Precision Plus® addresses oily, combination, dry, aging, sensitive, acne-prone, and damaged skin.

Cosmelan MD®

The Cosmelan MD® is a depigmentation treatment that helps to regulate and suppress melanin formation, thereby reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation (including Melasma and Chloasma), dark spots, and sun damage. This product works well on all skin types to lighten existing pigment and evenly distribute future melanin for more even coloring.

Due to the potency of the Cosmelan MD®, a consultation is necessary before treatment, as this peel requires significant downtime.

*The Cosmelan® MD addresses aging and hyperpigmentation.

Chemical Peel Add-on Treatments

Chemical peels can be performed as listed above or combined with boosters to further stimulate and enhance results.

These boosters may include:

Oxygen: Oxygen is driven into the skin to help rejuvenate and brighten your complexion; this has even been shown to promote collagen production.

Natural Marine Extract: By encouraging fibroblast formation, the natural marine extract has been shown to improve overall skin health, including uneven texture and crepey skin.

Exosome Regenerative Complex: This helps to restore brightness and hydration by improving texture and pore size and reducing redness and irritation.

Hydroquinone: Hydroquinone is a skin-lightening agent that helps to normalize stubborn pigment, hormonal pigment, and sun damage.

Stem Cell Growth Factors: The growth factors found in stem cells contribute to increased skin cell growth and renewal.

Custom Brightening Compounds: Including Arbutin and Kojic acid, these customized compounds have been shown to brighten skin tone.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): PRP utilizes your own growth factors to help stimulate skin renewal and healing.
